Kapwa maag – aaral ng Brent International School Manila na sina Alaina Bouffaut at Johan Joey Marcelo ay nag sipagwagi sa Below 15 category ng National Age Duathlon sa Ayala Vermosa Sports Hub sa Imus, Cavite
Ang 12 anyos na si Bouffaut, panganay na anak ng isang ina na Pilipino mula sa Cagayan Valley at isang French national, ay nag clocked ng 41 minuto at 48 segundo sa 3km run event ng 3km run 10km bike, na tinalo sina Kaia Christiana Gica (42:32) at Naomi Rozeboom (42:44).
Kaugnay nito sina Franklin Yee at Merry Joy Trupa ang nagwagi naman sa kani kanilang dibisyon na sprint elite category (5km-20km-2.5km) ng kompetisyon na inorganisa ng Triathlon Philippines (TriPhil) na pinamumunuan ni Tom Carrasco.
Ang 23 anyos na si Yee, na kumakatawan sa Asian Orthopedic Triathlon Team, ay nag clocked ng 57:13 para talunin sina Irienold Reig Jr. (57:16) at Patrick Ciron (57:26) sa men’s division.
“Natutuwa ako na matapos ko ang karera nang walang anumang pinsala. Lagi akong nagpapasalamat sa Diyos sa lahat ng blessings,” ani Yee, na nagmula sa Bogo City, Cebu.
Si Trupa, 22, ang nanguna sa women’s division sa 1:05:41. Sina Katrina Salazar (1:05:56) at Rachel Sarah Wei Ying (1:06:57) ang naglagay ng pangalawa at pangatlo, ayon sa pagkakasunod.
Parehong kwalipikado sina Yee at Trupa sa 2025 World Games na nakatakda sa Aug. 7 17 sa Chengdu, China. 
Sina Ruan Azriel Santos at Jan Christel Culanag ay nakoronahan din bilang kampeon sa 6 anyos at under category ng National Age Group na Aquathlon and Duathlon, na bahagi ng grassroots at talent identification program ng TriPhil.

Cavite PNP Conducts 8 Bullet Test for Long Firearms at Camp General Mariano Castañeda, Silang, Cavite

Camp BGen Pantaleon Garcia, City of Imus – On March 6, 2025 the Cavite PNP conducted 8 Bullet Test for Long Firearms at the PNPA firing range, Camp General Mariano Castañeda, Silang, Cavite. This activity gathered police officers from various city and municipal, Cavite PMFC, Tourist Police Unit and Mobile Patrol Unit to showcase their skills and to enhance their proficiency with their long firearms.

PLtCol Joven T Bahil, Force Commander, Provincial Mobile Force Company warmly welcomed the participants. In his message, he underscored the importance of regular training and that of the Bullet Test for Long Firearms as means of guaranteeing that the police officers are sufficiently trained for duty.

PLtCol Willy B Salazar, Deputy Provincial Director for Administration, delivered his message emphasizing the importance of the law enforcement community in ensuring public safety, emphasizing that competence in the use of long firearms is essential to enforcing the law effectively.

This Bullet Test for Long Firearms is a crucial milestone in heightening the operational capability of the officers and solidifying the Cavite PNP’s dedication to delivering quality training. PGC’s health program benefits over 300 residents

More than 300 residents received free medical and dental services during a medical mission conducted by the Provincial Government of Cavite on March 4, 2025 in Barangay Sto. Niño I, City of Dasmariñas.

The medical team from Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo Memorial Hospital and CarSiGMA District Hospital spearheaded the provision of services, including general check-ups, dental consultations and extractions.

Free prescribed medicines and vitamins were dispensed by the team from the Office of the Provincial Governor.

CAVITE CELEBRATES PISTA NG SINING 2025

The vibrant tapestry of Cavite’s artistic community was on full display during the Pista ng Sining 2025, a three-day workshop held on February 26 to 28, 2025 at the Alitaptap Artist Community in Amadeo, Cavite. This year’s festival showcased the remarkable talents of students from various schools and universities across the province, fostering creativity and collaboration through engaging arts workshops.

The energy was palpable as participants immersed themselves in a diverse range of artistic disciplines. Workshops offered included dance by Ms. Nina Ricci de Leon, theater by Mr. Soliman Cruz on the first day, the innovative field of crypto art by Mohini Ochangco, hand-build pottery by Ms. Cristy Ancanan on the second day, and the unique painting workshop “Sabayang Pahid” by Mr. Judie Garibay, Mr. Emmanuel Nim and Mr. Pula Ancanan followed by the cultural performances by Juan Isip Band, Malaya and Jovani, and Pablo Segundo Band, to cap the event on the third day. The festival fostered a dynamic exchange of ideas and techniques, enriching the participants’ artistic journeys.

A key highlight was the collaborative spirit by Governor Athena Bryana Tolentino among students from different universities in the pottery workshop. They interacted, shared insights, and learned from each other, building a sense of unity and mutual respect. CAVITE PNP HOLDS THE 2ND PROVINCIAL JOINT SECURITY CONTROL CENTER (PJSCC) MEETING

Camp BGen Pantaleon Garcia, City of Imus, Cavite—The Cavite Police Provincial Office conducted the 2nd Provincial Joint Security Control Center (PJSCC) Meeting held at Mayo Hall, Camp Pantaleon Garcia, Cavite PPO, to further enhance preparations for the February 28, 2025,9:00AM Mayo’s Hall, Camp BGen Pantaleon Garcia, Imus City, Cavite.

The said meeting was presided over by Chairperson of PJSCC, Atty. Mitzele Veron L Morales-Castro, Cavite Provincial Election Supervisor IV, together with co-chairpersons, COL ERNEST JOHN C JADLOC (GSC) PA, Commander, Task Force Ugnay and PCOL DWIGHT E ALEGRE, Acting Provincial Director, Cavite PPO, in connection with the 2025 National and Local Midterm Elections (NLME). The activity focused on streamlining efforts to guarantee a credible, safe, and peaceful provincial election process.

Mr. Danilo A. Nobleza, DILG Provincial Director; FSINSP JUANITO LUNA, representing FSSUPT GAY F TOLENTINO, Provincial Fire Marshall; Mr. Mark Anthony Meta, Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting; Ms. Angel Sayoto, Meralco Representative; Provincial Command Group and Quad Staff were among the representatives from various government agencies that attended the meeting. Additionally, the COPs of the City and Class A Municipal Police Stations, the Provincial Staff, and the COPs of the Class B and Class C Police Stations participated virtually.

The meeting focused on COMELEC Resolution No. 1114 as discussed by Atty James Andrew N Recio, Election Officer of Carmona City; Updates on Threat Assessment and the current situation regarding 2025 NLME as presented by PLTCOL CHESTER NOEL R BORLONGAN, Chief, PIU; and the updates on the Security Preparation and Deployment concerning 2025 NLME, the locations of COMELEC Checkpoints, and Anti-Criminality results from Checkpoints conducted as presented by PLTCOL SAMUEL M FERNANDEZ, Chief, POMU. This collaborative method aims to guarantee orderly elections throughout the province of Cavite.

The Chairperson, conveyed to the committee members that her standard for a successful election is “to finish the race without casualty”. PCOL Alegre reaffirmed the police force’s commitment to uphold interagency collaboration and public safety throughout this election period, highlighting the importance of behaving with integrity and professionalism. “Through the cooperation of government agencies, LGUs, and the community, we will guarantee that everything is secure during the May elections in Cavite province,” he stated.

The Cavite PNP’s involvement highlights the significance of collaboration among agencies in attaining a peaceful election process. It also demonstrates our dedication and commitment to backing both local and national efforts and building trust between governmental entities and other local communities.

DOST Region 1’s First Serveullance Audit on ISO 9001 2015: “No NC”

The Department of Science and Technology Region 1 (DOST Region 1), led by Regional Director Teresita A. Tabaog, successfully concluded its ISO First Surveillance Audit with zero (0) non-conformities, reaffirming its commitment to quality management and continuous improvement.

The audit, conducted by Certification International Philippines, Inc. (CIPI) Auditor Justo R. Batoon, Jr. assessed DOST Region 1’s compliance with the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS). Engr. Batoon reviewed the department’s processes, documentation, and implementation of quality standards across Science and Technology (S&T) Transfer Services of the provincial offices, S&T Scholarships, Testing and Calibration Services, Context of the Organization, Customer Satisfaction, QMS Scope and Management Review. The results confirmed that DOST Region 1 continues to uphold the highest standards of efficiency, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.

“Let us be grateful of what has been undertaken for the past three (3) days. I am proud of all of you. This proves that we are doing great. But we should not rest on our laurels, let this be a motivation to make continuous improvement, moving forward,” said Regional Director Teresita A. Tabaog.

DOST Region 1’s successful audit outcome demonstrates its ability to maintain a well-structured QMS that ensures transparency, accountability, and continuous process improvement. Empowering the Food Industry: DOST Region 2 Evaluates 16 SETUP Proposals for the Food Processing Sector

Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region 2 continues its commitment to strengthening micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through the sixth Regional Technical Evaluation Committee (RTEC) Assessment for the Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program (SETUP). The recent evaluation focused on the food processing sector, assessing a total of 16 MSMEs.

Led by RTEC Chairperson Dr. Angel Encarnacion, alongside committee members Dr. Edgar Garcia, Dr. Amancia Magusib, and Mr. Arturo Tabbu, the assessment provided in-depth technical and financial reviews of the proposals. The initiative ensures that MSMEs receive valuable insights to enhance their business operations, optimize production, and adopt innovative technologies through SETUP assistance.

Among the MSMEs evaluated were S&D Food Products, Honey Buns’ Bakeshop, Aqua Drops Water Refilling Station, Jem Food Products, Maria Café, ThirTeaAnn R2 Milktea, Bianca Sizzling House, CMJ Food Products, Edskiie’s Meat and Vegetable Store, Teresita Cuntapay Food Products, Aguinaldo Water Refilling Station, MNE Bakeshop, Quelly’s Food Products Manufacturing, Ghiaccio Purified Ice Trading, Castillo Water System Services, and 3 Shers Food Products. Each business presented its proposals and discussed its goals for growth and innovation through SETUP interventions.

Assistant Regional Director Dr. Laila A. Taguinod, representing Regional Director Dr. Virginia G. Bilgera, reiterated that DOST’s assistance extends beyond funding, providing technological interventions such as packaging and labeling assistance, training, consultancy services, and laboratory assays. The evaluation serves as a critical step in ensuring that these MSMEs receive the necessary support to improve their productivity, competitiveness, and sustainability.

The insights gathered from the assessment will guide MSMEs in refining their business strategies while strengthening DOST’s mission to foster economic growth through science, technology, and innovation.

Tinangay nito ang isang laptop Lenovo (P64,00.00), isang Iphone 15 Promax (P67,000.00, Firearm License, Driver’s License, tatlong ATM Card (BDO, BPI, Robinson’s Bank), tatlong  Credit Card (BDO, BPI, East West Bank), isang  Samsung Earpods (P5,000.00, isang  Iphone Airpods (P12,000.00) at cash na P20,000.00 na may kabuuang halaga na P168,000.00.

5 most wanted, nasukol

LIMANG itinuturing na most wanted ang nasukol sa magkakahiwalay na operasyong ikinasa ng pulisya sa bahagi ng Central Luzon kamakailan.

Ang 52-anyos na si Marcial Tuazon ay naaresto sa Muñoz, Nueva Ecija batay sa kautusan ng Nueva Ecija Regional Trial Court Branch 88.

Siya ay wanted kaugnay ng kasong statutory rape at ang hukuman ay hindi nagrekomenda ng piyansa para sa kanyang pansamantalang kalayaan.

Nadakip naman sa Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija ang 56-anyos na si Dick Bernardino.

Si Bernardino ay wanted sa statutory rape at five counts ng paglabag sa Republic Act (RA) 7610 o the Child Abuse Law.

P1,000,000 ang kanyang piyansa sa paglabag sa RA 7610 subalit no bail recommended sa statutory rape.

Two counts ng statutory rape ang kinakaharap naman sa Bulacan RTC Branch 5-FC ni Kayshene Gabuan,29, na dinakip sa San Jose del Monte.

Bukod dito ay ikinokonsidera  bilang top 8 most wanted criminal sa provincial level si Gabuan at no bail recommended din.

Sa Olongapo City naman natimbog si Ariel Ramos Alog, alyas Tito Aye kaugnay ng mga kasong qualified rape at acts of lasciviousness.

Napag-alaman na nasa ikaapat na listahan ng regional most wanted si Ramos na mayroon umanong P200,000 piyansa para sa kanyang pansamantalang kalayaan batay sa rekomendasyon ng korte.

Ang top 5 most wanted sa provincial level na si Reyneir Luna ay nahuli naman sa San Fernando, Pampanga. 

Kasong paglabag sa RA 9165 o ang Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act ang kinakaharap ni Luna sa Pampanga RTC Branch 54.

No-bail warrant siya kaugnay sa Section 5 o ang Sale of Dangerous Drugs gayunman ay inirekomenda ng hukuman ang P200,000 piyansa para sa Section 11 o Possession of Dangerous Drugs.

Binanggit naman ni Philippine National Police spokesperson Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo na siya ring director ng Police Regional Office (PRO) 3 na nakatutok sila sa mga takas o wanted hindi lamang para sa hustisya o pagpapaharap sa batas bagkus ay kaugnay na rin ng seguridad ng mamamayan sa Central Luzon. SAMGYUPSAL, HINOLDAP NG 2 RIDING IN TANDEM

APAT na lalaki na magkakangkas sa dalawang motorsiklo ang nangholdap sa Samgyupsal Restaurant na tumangay ng P5,000.00 cash at mga cellphone sa Bacoor City, Cavite Lunes ng gabi. 

Isa sa dalawang motorsiko ay Honda Click na may box na nakasuot ang driver ng pulang jacket, itim na panton at puting helmet habang ang angkas ay nakasuot ng brown na hoody, itim na pantalon at naka-bonnet.

Ang isa naman ay itim na Honda Beat kung saan ang driver ay nakasuot ng itim na t-shirt, maong pants, puting sapatos, itim na half face na helmet at ang angkas ay nakasuot ng itim na hoody na may puting stripes sa torso, naka-face mask at itim na pantalon at sapatos. 

Sa salaysay ng mga biktima na sina Cristine, 20, Sherly, 21, Princess, 35, Nico, 23, at Albert, 21, pawang service crew, pumasok ang apat na suspek bandang alas-6:30 ng gabi sa Castillo House of Unlimited (Samgyupsal) sa Molino Road, Brgy. Ligas 1, Bacoor City, at nagpanggap na mga customer.

Naglabas ng hindi nabatid na kalibre ng baril at nagdeklara ng holdap saka tinangay ang P5,000.00 cash at mga cellphone ng mga service crew. 

Tumakas ang mga suspek sakay ng dalaawang motorsiklo sa direksiyon ng Las Piñas.

Guro, dedo sa lunod?

NAGSAGAWA ng imbestigasyon ang pulisya hinggil sa pagkamatay ng guro sa Emilio Aguinaldo College na umano’y natagpuang nakalutang sa gilid ng ilog sa Dasmarinas City, Cavite Lunes ng umaga. 

Kinilala ang biktima na si Julian Dante, 42, may-asawa, at residente ng Brgy San Lorenzo Ruiz, Dasmarinas City.

Ayon sa salaysay ng misis ng biktima, huli niyang nakita ang asawa na naglalakad  sa gilid ng kalsada malapit sa ilog sa Block M16 Excess Lot, Barangay Emmanuel Bergado 2, Dasmarinas City, at simula noon ay hindi na umuwi.

Bandang alas-6:30 ng umaga ay nakita ng ilang residente sa lugar ang bangkay na nakalutang sa ilog sa boundary ng Brgy Emmanuel Bergado at Brgy San Lorenzo Ruiz ng naturang lungsod.

2 HVI, laglag sa operasyon kontra droga

NASAMSAM ang tinatayang mahigit sa P400K halaga ng droga matapos naaresto ang dalawang hinihinalang tulak at nasa listahan ng High Value Individual (HVI) sa isinagawang buy bust operation sa Trece Martires City, Cavite.

Nasa kustodiya ng Trece Component City Police Station (CCPS) ang mga suspek na sina alyas Louie at Rod. 

Sa ulat, bandang alas-5:10 ng hapon  ay naagsagawa ng buy bust operation ang Cavite Station Drug Enforcement Team ng Trece Martires CCPS sa Barangy Conchu, na nagresulta sa pagkakaaresto sa dalawang suspek. 

Nakuha sa kanila ang tinatayang mahigit sa 60 gramo ng hinihinaang shabu na may Standard Drug Price na P408,000.00, brown paper bag at buy bust money. (Gene Adsuara)

Kelot, sinaksak dahil sa panabong

ISANG 49-anyos na lalaki ang sinaksak ng ka-barangay matapos nagtalo dahil sa panabong sa Dasmarinas City, Cavite. 

Sinusulat ito ay ginagamot sa ospital ang biktima na si alyas Jonathan, may-asawa, ng Block 29 Lot 4 Saphire St., Dasma 4 Golden City, Brgy Salawag, Dasmarinas City dahil sa saksak sa dibdib. 

Tinutugis ng pulisya ang suspek na si alyas Marionito, ka-barangay ng biktima, na tumakas matapos ang insidente. 

Sa ulat, pinatawag umano ng biktima ang suspek sa kanyang bahay sa bandang alas-9:30 ng umaga hinggil sa 25 piraso na mga panabong na humantong sa kanilang mainitang pagtatalo. 

Umuwi ang suspek sa kanilang bahay subalit bumalik at pinagsasaksak ang biktima. 

Matapos ang pananaksak ay tumakas ang suspek habang ang biktima ay isinugod sa ospital. (Gene Adsuara)
