PSA RSSO IV-A Brings Official Statistics Closer to the Academe Through Online Information Caravan
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Regional Statistical Services Office IV-A conducted an Online Information Caravan on PSA Products and Services on 24 September 2026, engaging college students, faculty, and staff from various colleges and universities across CALABARZON.
The activity featured an orientation on selected PSA statistical products, services, and resources, with discussions focusing on the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) and Agricultural Statistics. Participants were introduced to available data and their applications in understanding communities, the agricultural sector, and other areas of research and study.
The academe was also guided on accessing official statistics through PSA OpenSTAT and the Data Enclave.
The discussion demonstrated how to access sex-disaggregated data through OpenSTAT, highlighting the availability and importance of gender-responsive statistics for research and analysis.
The Information Caravan underscored the importance of using reliable and official statistics in research, learning, and analysis, while strengthening PSA RSSO IV-A’s efforts to promote greater awareness and use of official statistics among the academic community.
