CALAMBA CITY, LAGUNA — The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Regional Statistical Services Office IV-A (CALABARZON) conducted the Data Dissemination Forum on 2025 Agricultural Statistics – CALABARZON on October 28, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Hotel Marciano in the City of Calamba, Laguna.

With the theme, “Better Data, Stronger Decisions, Sustainable Food Systems,” the forum aims to share the latest agricultural statistics for the region and help stakeholders better understand the performance of the agriculture and fisheries sectors. The activity also highlights the importance of reliable and timely data in developing policies, planning agricultural programs, and promoting sustainable regional development.

The forum featured presentations on the 2025 Performance of Agriculture and Fisheries, covering key production data from the Fisheries Production Survey, Crops Production Survey, Palay Production Survey, Corn Production Survey, and Livestock and Poultry Survey. The presentations were delivered by PSA Statistical personnel, including Jessica M. Atienza, Statistical Specialist II; William T. Perez, Senior Statistical Specialist; and Christopher Lawrence J. Pascual, Statistical Specialist II.

CALABARZON continued to play a major role in the country’s livestock and poultry industry. Based on the 2025 agricultural production statistics, the region ranked first nationwide in hog production and chicken egg production. It also ranked second in chicken and cattle production, highlighting its significant contribution to the country’s meat and egg supply.

The forum also featured a discussion on the policy and program implications of the presented statistics, with Mr. Felix Joselito H. Noceda of the Field Operations Division of the Department of Agriculture IV-A and Director Carmel P. Matabang of the Department of Economy, Planning, and Development Region IV-A, as discussants. They both discussed how agricultural data can guide development strategies, improve government programs, and support informed decisions for the region’s agriculture and fisheries sectors.

Through this initiative, PSA CALABARZON reaffirms its commitment to providing reliable, relevant, and timely official statistics that support evidence-based decision-making. By sharing agricultural data with government agencies, policymakers, researchers, and other stakeholders, the forum seeks to strengthen collaboration and encourage data-driven programs that address the needs of the region’s agriculture and fisheries sectors.

The activity is part of the celebration of the 37th National Statistics Month, with the theme “Tuklas Pilipinas: Statistics as Beacon Towards Inclusive, Resilient, and Sustainable Tourism.”
