Learning in Action: Strengthening Skills in Technical Writing and Presentation

To enhance and develop the technical competencies of personnel from the CALABARZON Regional Statistical System, Philippine Statistics Authority Regional Statistical Services Office IV-A (PSA RSSO IV-A) conducted Technical Writing Course on Statistical Reports & Effective Presentation Skills and Techniques on 24 to 25 August 2026 in Calamba City Laguna.

The two-day training brings together participants from Regional Line Agencies (RLAs) and Local Government Units (LGUs) across CALABARZON. Resource Persons, Dr. Hernan G. Pantolla, and Dr. Nelda A. Nacion discussed key topics including translating data into plain language, crafting compelling statistical narratives and executive summaries, and applying effective presentation skills and techniques in communicating statistical information. Ms. Charito C. Armonia, Regional Director of PSA IV-A, in her message, emphasized the importance of the capacity-building activity in ensuring that statistics and information produced by respective agencies and offices are communicated clearly, accurately, and effectively to their intended audiences.

The training underscores the PSA RSSO IV-A’s continuing commitment to strengthening statistical communication and ensuring that data are transformed into information that is accessible, meaningful, and useful for decision-making.
