DOST-ITDI CONDUCTS DATA AND TECHNICAL TEADINESS ASSESSMENT WITH EXISTING ULIMS AT DOST CAVITE

The Department of Science and Technology–Industrial Technology Development Institute (DOST-ITDI) led a Data and Technical Readiness Assessment of the existing Unified Laboratory Information Management System (ULIMS) at DOST Cavite on  August 13, 2026, as an initial engagement activity in preparation for the pilot testing of the DOST-wide OnePortal Framework.

The initial engagement aims to assess the readiness of existing data, systems, technical requirements, business processes, and operational workflows in preparation for the pilot implementation.

With DOST CALABARZON delivering a broad range of laboratory, technical, and support services, the region provides an ideal environment for validating the OnePortal Framework under actual implementation conditions. The pilot implementation is expected to generate valuable insights and recommendations that will further enhance the system prior to its nationwide rollout across DOST Regional and Provincial Offices.

The activity was attended by personnel of the DOST Cavite Water and Wastewater Testing Laboratory, together with Ms. Jenca Krystel Nueva, Provincial Information and Communications Technology Officer (PICTO), and 2 other on-the-job trainees.

Through this initiative, DOST continues to advance digital transformation and strengthen the delivery of efficient, integrated, and technology-enabled laboratory services. (DOST Cavite)
