GENERAL TRIAS CITY, CAVITE  — Five child-caring and social welfare agencies in CALABARZON were recognized by the National Authority for Child Care (NACC) for their implementation of adoption and alternative child care programs and services during the Third Quarter Child-Caring Agency (CCA) Meeting convened by the Regional Alternative Child Care Office IV-A (RACCO IV-A) held on September 2, 2026, in General Trias City, Cavite.

Receiving the NACC Certificate of Recognition (COR) for Adoption and Alternative Child Care Programs and Services were Samaritans Place, Timothy Project International Mission Inc., Agape Impact Ministries, Cribs Foundation Inc., and Casa Dei.

The recognition marks the agencies’ compliance with prescribed standards for the delivery of adoption and alternative child care services and highlights their role as partners of the government in protecting children and supporting appropriate family-based care.

For children who cannot remain safely with their biological families, the quality of care they receive while under alternative care can shape their safety, development and prospects for a permanent family environment. This makes the standards governing child-caring agencies more than an administrative requirement.

Through its certification and monitoring mechanisms, NACC evaluates whether partner agencies have the systems, personnel and practices necessary to deliver services consistent with the best interests of the child.

The certification process is anchored on the NACC Certification Assessment Tool and the implementing rules and regulations of Republic Act No. 11642, or the Domestic Administrative Adoption and Alternative Child Care Act, together with applicable NACC policies and standards.

Assessment and monitoring examine the agencies’ program management, case management, service delivery and helping strategies and interventions. These areas help determine whether agencies are equipped to provide appropriate care and manage cases responsibly while children are in alternative care.

The five recognized agencies now join NACC’s network of partners working to strengthen the country’s adoption and alternative child care system and support pathways toward safe and permanent family-based care.

The awarding took place during RACCO IV-A’s Third Quarter CCA Meeting at Mama’s Hope Foundation in General Trias City, where participating child-caring agencies and social welfare partners also came together to discuss matters affecting the delivery of adoption and alternative child care services in CALABARZON.
