DOST Cavite Strengthens Monitoring of SETUP-Assisted Projects Through Equipment Inventory
To ensure transparency and maximize government assistance, the Department of Science and Technology, Provincial Science and Technology Office (DOST PSTO) Cavite, in partnership with the DOST CALABARZON SETUP Regional Project Monitoring Office (RPMO), led an equipment tagging and inventory drive on August 19, 2026.
The joint monitoring team, led by PSTO Cavite Provincial Director Gilda S. De Jesus, alongside DOST CALABARZON SETUP RPMO representatives Alaiza Marie D. Loretizo, Science Research Specialist I, and Michelle R. Orbeta, Administrative Aide IV, inspected project equipment across six local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to verify machinery condition, update documentation, and enforce strict asset accountability.
During the activity, the team visited Amicitia Technologies Corp., Yubhel General Fabrication and Engineering Services, Uniform Kingdom Tailoring Services, Fine Mechanics Trading and Engineering Services, MR Hacks Creatives Co., and VA Ernis Outdoor Advertising. The representatives conducted physical inspections, applied official equipment tags, and reviewed project compliance records directly with enterprise owners and managers.
This initiative underscores DOST’s commitment to rigorous project monitoring and the effective use of public funds. Through sustained collaboration between DOST PSTO Cavite and DOST CALABARZON SETUP RPMO, the Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program (SETUP) continues to empower Cavite MSMEs by enhancing their technical capabilities, operational efficiency, and overall productivity.
