RSC CALABARZON APPROVES KEY STATISTICAL INITIATIVES IN THIRD QUARTER MEETING
Key Statistical Initiatives were approved during the 3rd Quarter Regional Statistics Committee meeting that include the following: a) Submission of Land Conversion Data by concerned line agencies and local government units, b) Additional Security, Peace and Justice Statistics in the Regional Social and Economic Trends, c) 37th NSM Calendar of Activities, d) Adoption of 2025 Philippine Tourism Statistical Classification System (Version 2.1), e) Adoption of Philippine Standard Industrial Classification Revision 5, f) Adoption of Updated List of Core Regional Sustainable Development Goals Indicators, and g) Support to the Conduct of 2026 Global Adult Tobacco Survey (GATS).
The committee also discussed the assessment of governance indicators to be compiled and monitored in the region.
They agreed to constitute a Technical Working Group (TWG) to further assess the relevance of the proposed indicators and determine the availability of the necessary data.
Moreover, the CALABARZON Land Asset Accounts and the 2026 Second Quarter Regional Economic Situationer (QRES) were presented for information.
The QRES covered developments in prices and inflation, labor and employment, retrenchment and shutdown, agriculture and fisheries, tourism, port performance, and peace and order.
