General Safety Awareness Training strengthens workplace preparedness among PGC employees
The Provincial Government of Cavite (PGC), through the Cavite Quality Management Office – Workplace Organization Committee, successfully conducted the General Safety Awareness Training on May 14, 2026 at the New Provincial Government Center in Trece Martires City, reinforcing the importance of safety, preparedness, and emergency response in the workplace.
The training was attended by members and representatives of the Workplace Organization Committee (WOC) from various PGC offices who actively participated in the discussions and learning sessions aimed at promoting a safer and more prepared working environment. Mr. Mark Joseph G. Bawalan, LDRRMO III, from the Office of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer (OPDRRMO) served as the resource speaker and shared valuable knowledge and practical insights on different aspects of workplace safety and emergency preparedness.
Topics discussed during the training included the introduction to workplace safety, hazard identification and risk analysis, office safety and good housekeeping, fire safety awareness, earthquake preparedness, basic first aid awareness, evacuation and emergency protocols, and psychological preparedness during emergencies and disasters.
The activity highlighted the significance of proactive safety measures and proper coordination in minimizing risks and ensuring the welfare of employees in the workplace.
